The ASRV represents a state-of-the-art solution which will facilitate Australia’s wider exploration of the Southern Ocean and Antarctica. The vessel will be 156 metres in length, with a beam of 25.6 metres. She will be able to break ice up 1.65 metres at speeds of 3 knots and will supply Australia’s permanent research stations in Antarctica and Macquarie Island.

Damen Services Brisbane is a dedicated service hub established to facilitate client-focused relationships within the Australia, New Zealand and Pacific region.

Acting as a single point of contact, the Brisbane office is located close to the city’s port. With primary construction complete, Damen Song Cam Shipyard is the latest addition to the Damen Shipyards Group. The yard is Damen’s first formal Joint Venture yard in Vietnam and will be the preferred production location for Damen tug and workboats up to 60 metres long.

Damen Shipyards Singapore was founded in 1990 and since 2000 has been a wholly owned member of the Damen Shipyards Group. Damen Shipyards Singapore builds, repairs and services Aluminium High speed craft to the highest safety and quality levels. The building process used for series construction at the yard is unique in the shipbuilding industry and ensures an efficient, productive performance.

As well as series production, the yard also has the capacity to construct limited series vessels and one-off projects. In total between 15 - 25 vessels are delivered every year, each of which is constructed in aluminium. The Yard is building amongst other things the well-known, innovative Sea-Axe vessels, realising building times of just ½ a year from keel laying to trials.
