'Petrojarl 1'

The Teekay managed FPSO ‘Petrojarl I’ arrived at Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam (DSR) in January 2015. The ‘Petrojarl I’, built in 1986, has been active in the North Sea. The vessel is contracted by Queiroz Galvão Exploração e Produção (QGEP) for redeployment at the Atlanta post-salt oil field in the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil, to produce heavy crude oil in a water depth of 1535 meter. For its redeployment as an early production system unit, the FPSO is being upgraded at Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam.

‘Global 1200’

Technip’s vessel ‘Global 1200’ is one of two deep-water rigid pipe S-lay and heavy-lift vessels operated by the company. The work was divided into three phases, the first of which was a period in dry-dock for the ‘Global 1200’ to undergo her Special Periodical Survey and maintenance. Following this, the second phase involved upgrading the vessel’s DP capabilities. The third phase focused on refit of various pipe lay equipment and an upgrade to the 'Global 1200’s' stinger in anticipation of future projects.

'Rowan Viking'

Damen Shiprepair & Conversion was awarded the contract by a subsidiary of Rowan Companies plc to remodel the 'Rowan Viking'. The 'Rowan Viking' is one of the largest of the Keppel FELS ‘N’ class drilling rigs. The rig had to be prepared for a job in the deep Norwegian waters for which it needed a leg extension. The legs were lengthened by 10 metres to an impressive 180 metres at the quayside of Damen Shiprepair Vlissingen. Damen Shiprepair and Conversion’s special task force ‘Offshore & Conversion’ supervised the project.
