Damen’s unique InvaSave is an innovative solution that will help pave the way for compliance in ports.

This mobile ballast water discharge technology is on track to obtain IMO type approval as it enters the last phase of certification by the Dutch flagstate.

The InvaSave technology has been successfully tested in various representative challenging water conditions and the official land-based testing was completed at the MEA test institute in the Netherlands in 2015.

The final shipboard tests are currently underway on board the 800TEU container vessel Henrike Schepers and will soon be concluded.

Recently the government of Curaçao and Damen Shipyards Group signed a concession agreement for the future operation of the current Curaçao Drydock Company. This strategic partnership between Damen and Curaçao fits into our strategy to further expand our repair and service activities worldwide. The facilities in Curaçao currently consist of two graven docks (280 x 48.00mtr and 193 x 26.5mtr) as well as approximately 2.000m of repair quays outfitted with 6 cranes.
